Recently got this phone from my employer for a work phone. I have never been an LG fan of phones but so far this one is treating me well. Time will tell!

I love the LG phones. Not so much the bloatware. I bought mine renewed at $176. Now they are $129. This is a flagship phone. When it boots up, it says "Verizon". I think It updated to Android 10 when I got it, then 11 and now 12. It was deadly fast under Android 11. Now on 12 it has lags and when you swipe something off the screen it could take 5 seconds sometimes. I hope they fix that soon. My WiFi at home gives me 866Mbps. That seems incredibly fast. I haven't used a sim in this phone but will try to put Tacfone sim in soon. With google voice you don't need a sim. To drive around with google maps, I have another LG with a sim. It charges fast with QC 3.0 when I wake up and plug it in. There are so many camera functions it needs a youtube video to learn them all. overall - if I can get it to work with Tracfone (who is owned by Verizon) then I'll buy another one as a backup. As for audio - OMG it's great! It's like listening to a top end home stereo. My only minor complaint is Bluetooth 5.0. Inside a building you can use it about 100ft away line of site, but outside I can't find a bluetooth that doesn't cut out even when it's in my front shirt pocket. It may be a 5.0 fault, as I can't remember having this problem using a phone with 4.x bluetooth. So - when I walk the dog I just use the phone speaker from my shirt pocket.

An LG costs $250 and an Asus costs $650 for basicly the same features and has its own problems, I will definite keep the $400 difference in my pocket and buy an LG

It's visibly curved on the sides, very similar to the S10e that I also use.

Is this a curved screen phone like the Samsung Galaxy or is it flat with a side bezel? I can't tell from the photo and description.

So...it stated that the lg g8 has LTE-a which means you can have the 4g+ network.....but why there aren't a single button to turn it on.... I can't even use volte and vowifi....btw i use the lg g8 verizon unlocked

As of 2021, and with android 10, solid phone. Great screen, Great camera, no lag, and the price. And since LG wont make phones anymore, it may fall even more.
