A lot ventilation grills, yeah but only fans are seen through of grills, rest are hidden by black plastic sheet (only on HP, other vendors keep grills open for a good reason)

DDR4 3200 in Intel 13 series (13500H supports DDR5 5200), what could be more shameful? Only the shameful "office" laptop screen... Well, maybe when the price drops to $650-700 buyers will be interested. But what's the point? There is no point in even upgrading it - ddr5 still cannot be installed. Changing the slim panel in the screen is quite a task even for an owner experienced in such matters. How about an office laptop? Well, maybe - but everything is too unsuccessful... We need at least 4k at 16:10, even with a shameful 45% NTSC, at least the text would be filigree clear, and this is the most important thing for an office laptop, as well as a high-quality keyboard with at least 1.8mm of travel and elastic tactile feedback, which is also missing here...

How this is not a disaster? a good same performance 3060 laptop from 3 years ago with a proper screen cost around 900 euro a couple months ago and that with a 23% tax. 245 nits and 57% sRGB is a joke.

Does this have a MUX switch? Option is apparently absent in the OMEN HUB, what about the BIOS?

I'll cut it some slack for its pricing, but I can't help but recoil at that massive chin occupying space that seemingly could be used to fit a 16:10 panel. I wonder if the parts price difference really is significant enough to warrant cutting such a corner. That, and the sRGB.

Worst thing with HP Victus 15 models is that cursed MT7921 WiFi network card, certain models are sold optionally with Intel AX211 network card. Replacement Intel AX211 is pretty low cost, yet easy to change as usual with most M.2 network cards. There is simply no any reason to stay with MT7921.

While this was a very in-depth review, it was so focused on twat results that it didn't really touch upon what it was like to actually game on the laptop. As far as pricing goes, you realize nobody ever buys these at list price, right? I purchased the i7, 16Gb, RTX 3050 Ti model for $799 at Best Buy this Christmas season. Why you rated it based on a $1,200 price is confusing, especially since it lists for $1,099. Perhaps your model had some early production issues as I have experienced no loud fan issues. It seems you let test results decide everything and forgot the important issues: can I buy this at a good price and have fun gaming on it? The answer to those questions is yes, you certainly can.

I have the same model but with i5 12450h and about the fan spin in idel mode it can be turned off from the BIOS
